Ok, I admit it. I work too hard and play too little. But last night was different. We took the night off and had a great time. Sherry and I went to see Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Dave Mason at Park City's Egyptian Theater! What an incredible venue to watch live music. And what a great show!
Now I expect everyone wants to see great photos, right? Well, like I said, I took the night off. I did take a couple of cell phone pix...but to a photographer...they are a bit hard to look at. No photos today.
We want to thank Randy Barton of the Egyptian Theater for bringing such a great act to town. If you love live music and theater in Park City support the Egyptian. We would highly recommend membership in the Pharaoh's Club at the Egyptian. You'll meet great people and enjoy premium seating for all the great shows they have to offer each year. Check out www.egyptiantheatrecompany.org for more information.
Shanghai Living
During my visits to Shanghai I stay in a hotel about 30 minutes from downtown. This area was all rice paddies 10 years ago. Now is it a massive "free-trade" and shipping center. The view from my hotel gives you some idea of how the average metropolitan Chinese family lives. There are hundreds and hundreds of these apartment buildings in every direction. Many are 15-20 stories high. The facades differ but inside they are very similar. Most are well under 1000 sq. ft. per apartment. Each one the same.
In case you were wondering why so many apartments...China has the same land area as the USA but about 4 times as many people.
