Kevin Hockey Update

Kevin had a great game over the weekend as his team, The University of Richmond, hosted their annual tournament "Rumble in Richmond".  Kevin saw action and his team won two of the three games.  Way to go Kevin and the rest of the Spiders!

Well Kevin is off on a long bus trip from Richmond VA to Orlando FL.  His team is playing against two of the top rated teams in the South.  They play the University of Central Florida tonight and then Florida Gulf Coast University on Saturday.  We wish him luck!

Kevin's Richmond Spiders Win!

Kevin is off on his first long road trip...a hockey tournament in Atlanta, hosted by Georgia Tech. After an all-night bus ride, the team arrived in Atlanta to play their first game against highly ranked University of South Florida.

For the second time this season the Spiders beat USF. The score was 7-5. Tonight the Spiders play their second game of the tournament. Opponent to be announced. More to follow! Go Spiders!

Richmond Spiders Win! Kevin Walsh gets his first start!

The University of Richmond Spiders Hockey Club traveled to Lynchburg, VA to take on the cadets of the Virginia Military Institute last weekend. The Spiders posted an impressive 9-0 win over VMI and improved their season record to 10-3. Richmond Hockey coach Tom Occhino notched his 100th win and Kevin Walsh posted a shutout victory in his first college hockey start. Congratulations Coach Tom, Kevin and the entire Spider team.

Richmond Spiders win North Carolina Hockey Tourney

Kevin's University of Richmond hockey club won their first tournament of the year last weekend in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Playing 3 games against the University of North Carolina, Vanderbilt University and the University of South Florida in a span of just 48 hours, the Spiders outscored their opponents by a combined score of 30-7 to win the championship. Way to go Richmond Spiders!
